James Crofts Racing have decided with regret to withdraw from the 2013 MRF Challenge with immediate affect.

The withdraw is a result of MRF moving the race series to Bahrain and issuing no guarantees regarding the safety of drivers and crew.

Last year James Crofts Racing managed Conor Daly to victory in the 2012 series along with GP2 star Jon Lancaster and top female driver Alice Powell.

James Crofts says: "The MRF series should not be going to Bahrain when I read in the newspapers about children being beaten up by the Bahrain authorities. MRF should withdraw from Bahrain until the political situation has been sorted. I am looking at alternative race series for my drivers including Alice Powell in India."
